OUCH!!!

So, this past weekend held a lot of firsts for me. First broken bone. First ambulance ride. First surgery (does wisdom teeth removal count?).

How did this happen you may ask? Well, the short answer is playing softball. But to give you a bit of perspective, here are a few significant details.

1) Our record was 0-12. That’s right we are win-less.
2) I was stealing third (and i was SAFE!!!).
3) It was only the bottom of the first inning.
4) We went on to lose the game by one run.

As I have been reflecting on all this I can’t help but feel blessed that in almost 27 years I have only now had to deal with all this.

So, how many bones have you broken, and when was the first?

  1. Hey bub… How are you feeling? I heard about your shining moment at the game 😉

I haven’t broken any bones ever in my almost 26 years! (But of course after this posting I probably will)

  5. Daniel,

It’s pretty amazing that it happened now with all the crazy, reckless stuff we did as kids. Good to hear from you and I hope you’ll keep coming by the blog.
