If you stop by Intersections on a regular basis, you will notice that I do not post on Saturdays. It’s not because I am too busy, or because I forget to post something.
I have made an intentional decision to unplug as much as I can on Saturday. All week I am connected to technology. All week I have a “to-do” list. So, on Saturday, the only thing I do is enjoy. I enjoy time with my wife and our friends. I enjoy healing and recovering from a busy week. I enjoy rest that prepares me for the coming week and its challenges. On Saturday, I enjoy a Sabbath.
Sabbath is not legalism (though it can become that). Sabbath is a gift of God’s grace to us. A day to recharge our batteries. A day to simply be and enjoy.
Sabbath has changed my life.
Do you have a day to rest and recharge?
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

I use the weekends to rest and recharge. On Saturdays and Sundays I spend my time relaxing and spending time with my family and friends, going out and spending time with them, and then going to church on Sundays. I try to do as little as possible…no work! Just relaxation and time with family, friends, and God.

I will next week. I will be naked in my front yard all day. No but seriously I think we all need a break or we will burn out.
