Today I ate lunch with my great uncle and aunt’s garden club. They were meeting at a local home here in Mo-town. Below are a couple pictures of the beautiful surroundings where we ate lunch.
As we ate, I was blown away by the beauty of the natural world surrounding us. Not to sound too corny, but it made me aware that there is more. Even though I know that God is always present, that he always wants to be near and real to us, today at lunch I could appreciate his presence more. Maybe that is because I took time out of my schedule to just stop, to listen. Maybe I sensed God’s presence more, not because he finally showed up, but because I finally showed up. The truth is that God is always present, it is us who are often absent.
So, here is the question: Where/when do you experience God in a more powerful way? Is there a place or time when he seems to speak louder or be more real in your life? And if so, why do you think that is true for you?
